FAQs

Some frequently asked questions below. If you’re still unsure then simply give us a call or email us with your query.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    As long as you cancel your booking before 10 am on the day before you’re due to arrive, there will be no charge. Bookings cancelled after 10:00 am on the day before you’re due to arrive will be charged for the first night’s stay. No Shows will be charged for the first night’s stay.

  • What is the Advance Purchase Cancellation policy?

    Your credit or debit card will have been charged at the time of booking, and this is a non-refundable, non-transferable amount. Should you need to cancel there will be no refund applicable.

  • Do you hold rooms provisionally?

    No we take a credit card to guarantee reservations and our cancellation policy then applies.

  • Can we upgrade rooms?

    Yes – larger County Rooms £10.00 additional charge per night. Character room £20.00 additional charge per night. Suite £30.00 additional charge per night. Elma suite £40.00 supplement charge per night

  • When is check in?

    3pm

  • When is check out?

    11.00am

  • What time is food & drink served?

    We serve from 12 noon till 9.30pm Monday to Saturday and then 12 noon till 9pm on Sundays. Our dining areas do get busy so if you would like us to reserve a table for you please just ask.

    The bar opens at 11am each day and closes at 11pm Monday to Thursday. We stay open ‘til midnight Friday and Saturday but come Sunday we close at 10.30pm.

  • Do you serve breakfast?

    Our full Lancashire breakfast is served from 7.00am to 9.30am during mid-week and 8.00am 10.00am at weekends – but if you would like an earlier breakfast, please ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate this.

  • Is private dining available?

    Yes - we can offer private dining for celebrations and events.

  • Is car parking available?

    On-site complimentary car parking available. Approximately 42 places.

  • Are pets allowed?

    No – We’re sorry but we are only able to accept working dogs.

  • Is there disabled access?

    We have an allocated disabled parking space by the front door and there is a small ramp on the right hand side for easy access; All the doors in to the main building are double doors to allow ease of access in a wheelchair.

  • What facilities are provided for wedding guests?

    Late bar and late food on request. If you're looking for a location for a larger group ask about taking over all of the Millstone for the night. 

  • Is there a meeting room?

    Yes – we can offer a meeting room for up to 12 people and will organise catering with you as needed.

  • Do you have travel cots/Z-beds available? Do you charge for it?

    Yes, we have a limited supply and there is no charge.

  • Can you organise packed lunches for the morning? What do we get and how much does it cost?

    We’re happy to provide picnics for you to take when you’re for the day, just ask for details -
